JusRol Pastry

Questions
Published: 2014-06-06

Recently I was alerted that jus roll pre-rolled pastry contains ethanol in the ingredients.  The source of ethanol I.e synthetic or brewed is unclear.  Is it permissible to consume such pastry once baked? If it is haram do you have to discard it or could you give to non-muslim freinds?

In the Name of Allah, the Inspirer of Truth.
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

JazakAllah for your inquiry.

Ethanol is listed as an added ingredient in Jusrol pastry therefore we consider it Haraam.
